Established in 1996 Senior Football High School All-stars from #LongIsland and #NyCity faced of for the 23rd time for bragging rights against their peers and to raise awareness and find a cure for cystic fibrosis. For many of these athlete's, this will be their last game in organized football/ sport. #PrePostGame wants to make sure these young men understand that they are #MoreThanAnAthlete. #WEREHERE to ensure they have the tools and resources whether their career continues or not, to implement the same passion, commitment and potential for growth just as they have of the football field. For the 3rd year in a row the game came do to the final play of the game. Ny City connected on a Hail Mary pass as regulation expired. Ny City decided to go for the 2 point conversion and the win. Long Island defense stopped that conversion to win the game 28 -27. #SportsIsNotAGame #SportsIsAllBusiness The Exception: Unless you play Basketball and Football generating billions for those same #NCAA schools, administrations, shoe, apparel, insurance companies, journalist, coaches, TV networks, ESPN etc, who can't do what they can. That means being a great athlete and educated at the same time. What value do you have in this industry without them? None #Keep your grahics, custom made cleats, gloves, and paid camps, where you slap numbers on their back for cheap marketing and advertising purposes to generate sales to the younger uneducated kid and family who can't even afford the shoe or the flights, hotels and team fees to chase a dream that only 1% acheive, but have 100 percent of financial and mental commitment. #Keep your #FreeEducation where you can fall asleep, AND after you wake up, write about your dream and get 3 credits and an A in the #Power5 conference. Yet they're in school 3 plus years and aren't taught to fill out a resume or understand the tax code as a soon to be professional Millionare. #Keep the #Complicit #ServiceProviders from profiting off the backs of these kids and families at every level, but quiet as a church mouse when their quality of life and character are attacked everyday because of the circumstances you put them in. They need to not even entertain you, because with out them being educated, it's been proven they go broke with you 80% of the time. Time to take ALL their talents to a #AlterantiveMethods. #Keep thinking this going to fly. Once we find out which schools are contributing to this. We're going to document, file, publicize and discourage any athlete or their family who is a minority to EVER attend that school and the next 4 classes after that. Prior to you even knowing their name, they WILL KNOW why and where they're not going. We wish you luck at your next place of employment. I'm sure your education will get you back on your feet. You have a system built off of their physical attributes that include age and health but restrict their opportunity. #NCAA would cease to exist without them. However, it isn't a shock that those who's best interest aren't represented have difficulty getting their needs and wants met. When every rule created and implemented was done so, without the input or consult of the talent and their families, this will be the result. The athlete has NEVER had proper representation at the youth and collegiate level. The athlete will be a great talent with or without the #NCAA structure.
